Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an Index.brain account, you agree to these Terms. If you use Index.brain on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. The service

Index.brain extracts structured knowledge from connected data sources and delivers that knowledge to authorized AI agents via MCP and REST API. We do not store raw messages or documents — only the structured knowledge extracted from them.

3. Your data

You own your data. By connecting an integration, you grant Index.brain permission to read that source and extract knowledge from it. You can revoke this permission at any time by disconnecting the integration. We do not claim any ownership rights over the knowledge we extract from your data.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Index.brain to process data you do not have the right to access
  • Attempt to extract or access another organization's data
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the service
  • Use the API in ways that damage, disable, or overburden our servers
  • Share API keys or MCP credentials with unauthorized parties

5. Accounts and billing

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. All plans include a 14-day free trial. Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.

6. Uptime and availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance windows will be announced in advance via our status page. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party services (Gmail, Slack, Notion, etc.) or events outside our control.

7. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data is deleted within 24 hours.

8. Limitation of liability

Index.brain is provided "as is." We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Significant changes will be communicated by email 30 days in advance. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
